New exhibition ‘House of the dead snail II’ by artist Koos Buist will be open from 10 July until 22 August 2025 in Portiersloge Groningen.

At the heart of the work is the search for a connection between people and the local natural environment.
References to philosophy, mythology, and science run like a common thread throughout.
This takes shape in film, theater, installations, and landscape-based works.
Currently, I am working on Grassland, an ongoing ecological art project.
On one hectare of land, nature, art, and education are interwoven.

Centraal in het werk staat de zoektocht naar verbinding tussen mens en lokale natuur
Verwijzingen naar filosofie, mythologie en wetenschap lopen daar als een rode draad doorheen.
Dit krijgt vorm in film, theater, installaties en landschappelijk werken.
Momenteel werkt ik aan project Grasland een doorlopende ecologisch kunstproject
